Our First Client

Our first client is our greatest champion/critic/taste tester...he is our youngest brother. Maybe out of anyone in our family, he is the most committed to maintaining the integrity of our product.  We like to call him the Toffee Czar.  He was one of our original customers, somebody who loved the toffee enough to give it to his special clients.  As we are in the process of setting up in our new kitchen (been here only one week!) we are trying out some new chocolate options.  I hand-deliver toffee samples to him at his office so he can test what we’re up to.  He is my best tester and stewart to toffee goodness.  He gives blessings and criticisms, finds typos on my web-site, and gives his opinion on what tastes are working and what aren’t.  I also just found out that he’s been a Secret Shopper in the retail stores that sell our product.  He’s bought 8-10 bags unbenounced to us to ensure that we are maintaining the same Mother Mary’s product that he’s come to know and love.  It’s nice to know that someone cares enough to watch our back!  Most importantly, I’m glad to report that he’s been pleased with what he’s found on the shelves.  A blessing from him is so welcome!

Although my sister and I are 100% committed to maintaining Mother Mary’s high standard of quality in everything we do, it’s nice to know that our brother would be there for us if we happen to make a slip in judgment.  I mean, who knows what could happen down the road?  It’s nice to know if there is ever a time in the future when we get swallowed up by success, it’s entirely possible that we might get corrupted.  If we were ever to be seduced by the dark side or tempted to skimp on quality, I know our watchdog brother will be there to stop us dead in our tracks.

I’ve come to understand that our toffee is a family project.

Do you like Rice Krispy Treats?a0 They are one of my favorite drsseets- I think I could eat a whole pan of them.a0 I have a hard time leaving anything plain though- I'm just wired to try new and different ways of making them prettier or more interesting.a0 Yesterday at FreeStuff4Kids I posted 13 Ways to Dress up Your Rice Krispy Treats.a0 In particular I think the Peeps Nest thing is really cute- even though I hate Peeps, I wanted to make them!
